Nzingha Byrd, a profound poet, photographer, entrepreneur, educator & mother – has impacted the lives of many through her artistry and community service.
Nzingha has published, featured and taken the stage with many acclaimed artists.

Nzingha has curated numerous artist showcases such as Purple Lotus, spotlighting over 100 artists throughout her career. Her mission in Artist Production has always been to give artists as much inspiration and exposure as possible. In 2013, Nzingha won Cincinnati’s Most Conscious Female Poet Award.

In 2012, Nzingha opened Sweet Sistah Splash (S3), Cultural Boutique and Community Program Space, whose mission is to explore and support the ‘Urban Ancient’ woman through education & empowerment. Through Sweet Sistah Splash, creates a platform for other women owned businesses to grow and be ‘housed’. At S3, Nzingha offers programs and products with a strong focus on holistic health and vitality – such as her sought after all natural Bath & Body Line, Body of Sheba. With an equally strong focus on Community Empowerment, Nzingha has created numerous programming exploring the African-American experience.

Nzingha is dedicated to transforming the way that people feel about themselves and their community. When asked what she’s most passionate about her reply simply is ‘Her People’ – their beauty, power, and legacy – one that she is determined to continuing.
