Nia Noelle

Nia Noelle was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and attended grade school in Norman, Oklahoma. Her career in broadcasting started when she auditioned and was selected as district spokesperson for her school district’s television station

Nia studied broadcast journalism at the William A Fulbright School of Arts at The University of Arkansas Fayetteville, Arkansas. Her focus was television but when she noticed there was no radio station she brought it to the attention of school administration and became instrumental in launching UATV Jamz and KXUA-FM.

In 2000 she accepted an on-air position at WCCG-FM Carson Communication Faytteville, North Carolina, and was soon promoted to promotions director. Nia also became the Carolina’s regional reporter for Black Radio Exclusive (BRE) Magazine writing about radio activity in the Carolinas. In 2005 she moved to Huntsville, Alabama to be on air at Cumulus’ WHRP-FM. She joined Radio One Columbus in 2006 as webmaster and on air host for WCKX-FM Power 107.5. She has recently accepted the midday position on sister station Magic 106.3 and can be heard there 10-3pm.

Nia is an avid crafter and loves DIY projects and interior design. She owns her own small design business and has her own accessory line and store. Nia volunteers at many organizations around town including Dress for Success Columbus. In 2013 Nia fulfilled a dream of hers, to help aspiring journalist by launching the “Nia Noelle Scholarship” where she gives an annual scholarship to a student.
