Travis Holoway is the Co-Founder & CEO of SoLo Funds Inc. SoLo is a mobile lending exchange created to provide more affordable access to loans under $1,000. Travis is passionate about providing resources and improving the financial wellness of the world’s underbanked populations. Travis grew up in the greater Cleveland, OH area and is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati. Prior to founding SoLo, Travis built his career in the financial services industry first as a financial advisor and later as the Director of Training and Development at Northwestern Mutual.

How do you use creativity to fuel your power?
I believe that thinking outside of the box is power in itself. The ability to unapologetically deviate from societies norms fuels innovation and provides a level of freedom that few people ever experience in their lifetime.
What does power mean to you?
To me, power is the ultimate test of one’s moral compass. There is a great responsibility that comes with having power and how that power is enforced for good or bad speaks to the true core of a person. If you ever want to find out who someone really is, give them power.
How do you define power?
Power is simply the ability to influence the environment around you, but a very critical element to power is an earned respect. You can be appointed to power, but you’ll never have respect unless you earn it. Power without respect accomplishes very little.
