24 Jun CCF Creative Spotlight: SEARIUS ADD
1. What do you do and where do you do it? I am a performance poet (and event host). I currently serve as Creative Director for The Nine-Tenths Group, which is an arts-based event planning firm based in Columbus. We’ve held artist showcases of various themes such as Black Tuesday, The Art of Storytelling, Erotica, The 4 Elements, Word & B Flat and many more throughout the Greater Columbus area. Beginning Friday October 3rd, 2014, I will be hosting Civilization: Youth Open Mic at Wild Goose Creative. The event will occur every 1st Friday from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and is an open stage for all performance expressions. The aim is to create a fun, artistic platform for youth ages 8 – 16 (but ALL are welcome)! 2. Who/What are your biggest influences? At this point in my life… just… life. I’m inspired daily to do the best work I can or express an idea/message in the most unique way possible that’s still engaging, captivating and unique to me. There are “poems” all around me. 3. What does the term Creative Control mean to you? It represents accountability for your craft. It represents being conscious of this accountability and a sense of pride that comes with this awareness!
